Epic is a 3D CG action-adventure comedy that reveals a hidden world unlike any other. From the creators of Ice Age and Rio.

Epic is quite different from previous Blue Sky films, as it features expansive outdoor settings with realistic flora and fauna, combined with slightly cartoon-proportioned characters, as opposed to the dark, gritty, indoor settings featured in Blue Sky’s other projects, such as X-Files.

There’s a new trailer out for Fox and Blue Sky Studio’s upcoming 3D CG adventure movie, Epic, which is scheduled to hit the big screens on May 24, 2013. The film will be directed by Chris Wedge (Ice Age, robots), and will feature a star-studded voice cast that includes Amanda Seyfried, Beyonce Knowles, Johnny Knoxville, Pitbull, and Steven Tyler.

Based on William Joyce’s kids’ book The Leaf Men, Epic tells the story of a teenage girl who finds herself lost in a deep forest, and somehow shrunk down to a mere few inches. Worse, she seems to be also stuck in the middle of a struggle between good and evil.
